Pair with your own Mac, or try the demo first.

JoeBro Mobile is the iPhone companion to JoeBro for Mac. It needs JoeBro running on your own Mac, because that is where your chats, files and memory live.

Just looking?

On the first screen, tap Try the demo. It loads sample chats, tasks, memory files and notifications with no Mac and no network. Leave it from Settings with Leave the demo.

Pairing with your Mac

  1. Update JoeBro on your Mac to 1.3.0 or later.
  2. In JoeBro on the Mac, open Settings, then Mobile, and turn on Let my phone connect.
  3. In the phone app, tap Scan QR code and scan the code the Mac shows. You can also paste the pairing link or enter the address and token by hand.

On the same Wi-Fi it works directly. Away from home, install Tailscale on both devices and pair with the Mac's Tailscale address.

If it will not connect

  • Check that the Mac is awake and JoeBro is open.
  • Check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, or that Tailscale is on for both.
  • If it says the token was not accepted, scan a fresh QR code.
  • If it says the Mac is running an older JoeBro, update the Mac app.
  • In iPhone Settings, make sure JoeBro is allowed to use the local network.

Notifications

Push is optional and needs setting up on your Mac. In the app, open Settings, then Notifications. Notifications travel through Apple's push service, and you can hide previews.
